What it does

BitURL is a free URL shortener. Paste a long link, click Shorten, and you get a short one you can use in social posts, SMS, email, print, or anywhere characters are scarce. Every short link comes with a QR code.

With credits you can also choose your own slug, protect a link with a password, change the destination later, remove the ad on the redirect page, and see click analytics.

Security

Every short link is served over HTTPS. Links are checked against a blacklist and monitored for abuse so that visitors are not sent to spam or malware.

Abuse policy

Links that lead to sexual content, spam, viruses, or malware are prohibited. Violating links are deleted as soon as they are found, and we reserve the right to report abuse to the relevant authorities.
